May 2, 2007 D-Day! This last weekend proved to be quite the spectacle as our local World War II junkies showed up for a mega-battle of epic proportions!  Saturday, death rained from the skies as they played out the airborne droppings on D-Day Minus 1.  Sunday, they hit the beaches and the allies were forced to wade through artillery and machine gun fire to take their objectives.   Check out the Events gallery for pictures from the awesome undertaking. April 24, 2007 Theater of War On Sunday for the Privateer Press Invite we had a huge old mega-battle they dubbed theater of war.  Each faction had a home base, then there was a network of battlefields connected to the bases and one another through specific entrance/exit points.  The goal was to stomp your way through the various boards securing these points.   Needless to say things got out of control. They're here!  Watch out Boyz cause Greg and I have woken our giants and with equipment like theirs there'll be no end to the pants stuffing.  A little bird even told me that Lankin's eye is upon the Baron.  Not a surprise really, it's spring time and love is in the air.  We're gonna give a whole new meaning to twitterpated. Terrible Two I have a double feature for you today.  Both the Baron's article from last week and the B- Train's.   The Baron gives his views on providing painting criticism.  While B-Train waxes poetic about Belinda and rants on the lameness that is Saved by the Bell. Sorry Chris Thou art a Villain!  Ahhh ... poor Chris, I really am sorry about by ineptness.  Something just always seems to go awry.  The Baron has achieved something we do all too rarely. Columns, Columns, Columns So, if you look to your right you'll see a neat little "Columns" button this will transport you to Column Land which is a place inhabited by dark a spiteful spirits.  Okay, probably not.  It's actually just your portal to get at current columns and columns of yore in one handy spot. Bubba sadly was also a victim of my trip last week so his column has languished in my inbox for a while. Tomorrow, Christopher finally gets his due, the pretty little bastard. Here we go again Okay, well I've sloughed off some duties with the grand noble intention of doing multiple updates this week.  I figure if I can hit 3 of 5 again I'll give myself a cookie or something.   Maybe a special visit from a stranger.   Ummm ...   I was out of town during my normal "web day" last week so I failed.  Baron didn't, here it is. Damn I was doing so well too.  Poop.   See this is what happens when you set a lofty goal and fail.   You get discouraged, then apathetic, then the project you were doing so well on goes away and everyone points and laughs.  Cry.  Balls.   Anywho, got what I deem the Mega Baron update.  Despite my laziness the Baron dutifully churns out an article a week.  Generally once I got the page going I did well but I've missed a couple.  So in addition to this week's article I give you the Von Awesome page.  Contrary to its name, it is not awesome.  The Baron is of darkness.  That inherently is not awesome.   The Von Awesome page will let you read this week's column as well as easily find any you may have missed or I didn't post because I was combating darkness.   Paladin of Light = Me. And the Loser Is . . . Well screwed up that whole update every day thing didn't I?  Le sigh.  Oh well I guess 3 of 5 ain't terrible.  Poo.  I am happy to announce though that today's update marks the first entry for a new column here at Da Momma's Boyz, Rollin' With The B-Train.  I could tell you all about it but, it's probably easier if I just let Bubs do it himself. Intelligent Design Well leave it to the Baron to totally screw up the creation myth and step on some toes while doing it.  Caustic wit abounds in this latest column as he enlightens us heathens on anti- tactics.  Is he being intentionally ... "edgy"?  I'll let you decide. HA!  Take that. It Begins I have an update for you every single day this week.  Then after that, I have even more stuff!   You boyz and girlz have been fantastic!  I have so much material pouring in it's making my original goal of updating all the old content to the new look take far longer than I expected.   Truth be told it's one problem I'm quite glad to have.  It never ceases to amaze me how awesome you Momma's Boyz are.   Our first update this week is a grand ol' review of the board game Elasund.  If you've ever played Settler's of Catan you know it's a radical game.  Elasund further expands the world of Catan.  Wondering how?  Take a look. Samurai Style Three weeks of updates!  That has to be a record.  Well not really.  There were the lofty days of the site's inception when I updated like a madman.  Thooose werrrrrre tha daaaaays!   Sing it Archie!  Ya!  Today we have a sleek little number from Charles Tibbals who's recently back from an extended stay beyond the Kaiu Wall.  Sadly he returns a bit tainted (ew)  but he did manage to bring back some notes for all of you interested in Legend of the Five Rings' land of Rokugan.  It's a tasty read, especially if you're looking for a break away from Tunnels and Wyrmlings.
